SKIRTING THE ISSUE: LATEX SKIRTS FOR ALL + APRONS & KILTS FOR MEN

A latex skirt can be an extremely versatile addition to any latex wardrobe, as we intend to prove with this Skirting The Issue round-up. Among 70 skirts in our website’s Women’s Clothing section you’ll find everything from simple, cute and sexy minis, peplums and skating skirts (like the Chevron Skating Skirt at £80.96 above, centre right) through to knee-length, ankle-length and calf-length styles (such as the Flouncy Betty Skirt, above right, at £112.46). There are bum-exposing spanking and bondage-inspired looks (such as the Salome Skirt above left, at £130.46), uniform styles and many decorative options — basically an enormous amount of choice whatever your budget.

You can team a latex skirt with many other items in your latex wardrobe such as lingerie to vary a basic latex look for modest additional outlay, while the right skirt layered over a catsuit can be totally transformative! Not only that, but many of our latex skirts look great as daywear teamed with conventional fabric items. With mainstream acceptability of latex being so widespread now, it’s possible to wear a latex miniskirt, pencil skirt or other latex skirt style in any kind of “daytime” situation where you might previously have worn a leather skirt. In the image above we feature three of our shorter Best Seller skirts, all of which will set you back less than £100 at their discounted prices. Above left is our Mini Skirt, a daring and deceptively simple style, fully tailored and seamed to give a great fit. Above centre is our perennially popular Aurora Peplum Skirt (Long), whose revealingly risqué high-cut front and low-shaped rear hem are sure to provide reasonably-priced thrills. While both these styles will cost you just £94.46, our best-selling Lambada Skirt, above right — a classic flared short skirt design at home anywhere from the latin dance floor to the roller derby — is even more of a bargain at a mere £67.46.

In our final Skirting The Issue selection (above) of women’s Best Seller skirts, we find three of our most popular styles that involve both more latex and more detailing. On the far left, our Swing Circle Skirt evokes a 1950s design classic that’s perfect for revisiting the era of dreamboats and petticoats, especially at its Best Seller price of £148.46. Sadly, the Under-Wire Basque it’s pictured with is not currently available, but this 90cm length skirt could easily be teamed with any number of other basques and corsets from the large Libidex range!

If you’re the sort of person who likes a corset but wishes you could have one with a skirt attached, then our Ava Corset Skirt (second from left) could be the perfect answer for you, combining as it does our waspie-style Ava Corset Belt with our Pencil Skirt. Note: the corset section is made from figure-squeezing, thicker 0.8mm rubber with a boned front panel and back zip — so it really works like a corset. And by the way, the Best Seller price of £161.96 includes a second colour, so you could have the corset part made in black, for example, but the skirt made in any one of 60-plus other latex colours we stock!

On the right and far right above are rear and front views of our De Sade Spanking Skirt. As the name suggests, the skirt’s rear cut-out elegantly facilitates bare-bottom spanking, but this style can also be worn as an expression of exhibitionistic submission in its own right, with spanking strictly optional! In our determination to cater for the widest possible range of latex-wearing tastes, Libidex also offers men’s skirts and kilts in the Men’s Clothing’s Latex Skirt, Kilts and Aprons section. With 25 items to choose from, this section admittedly boasts a smaller selection than found in the women’s range. But it does reflect the kind of styles mostly sought by men looking for a more masculine/non-gendered skirted look. (Men seeking more overtly feminine styles should be able to find what they want among our big range of women’s skirts.)

With the men’s styles featured here, we should explain that all three styles in the first men’s grouping (above) are Best Sellers priced at 10 percent off their full prices (with full prices in brackets in our captions), while the three styles in the bottom image are all full-priced items.

The two garments shown on the left above are two versions of our Buckle Skirt style, based on a wrap-around skirt fixed by heavy duty straps with buckles. Our Best Seller prices are £193.46 for the Buckle Skirt (Calf Length) on the far left, and £179.96 for the Buckle Skirt (Knee Length) on the left. There is also a Full Length version of the Buckle Skirt which sells at a full price of £219.95. All Buckle Skirts come with a handy purse as standard but can be ordered without it.

The two images on the right of the above group both show our Play Skirt (Knee Length). This wrap-around style is made from thick latex that is well-suited to the club scene, play room or bedroom. The first shot, which includes our Short Sleeves Zipper Shirt, demonstrates how the Play Skirt can be opened to reveal underwear (in this case our Contrast G-String) — or not! Like the Buckle Skirt, our Play Skirt is also available in Calf Length and Full Length versions.

Although a number of our men’s skirt styles may look similar to kilts, technically the Libidex range only includes three actual kilts, of which the first can be seen in the top image on this page. The handsome bare-chested hunk sharing the top shot with the ladies is wearing our Roman Kilt, a cheeky take on a classic style featuring a number of free flowing panels on the front and back. Made in 0.80mm latex, it’s secured with press stud fastening on the sides, and can be yours for £219.95.

Our final men’s selection immediately above kicks off on the left with our Revelation Kilt with Trim. No ordinary kilt, this, it’s made from two separate panels which can be quickly removed from their snap fastenings to reveal mini-chaps beneath! Two garments for the price of one, it’s ideal for when you need to show off just that little bit more. The Revelation is made in thick latex and this version, at £229.95 (shown here with our Short Sleeve Button Shirt), features contrasting trim on the edges. A version without trim is also available at £199.95.

We finish this roundup with a couple of examples from our selection of men’s aprons. First, the Hot Stud Apron (Full Length), shown centre left and right, is definitely one of our more versatile apron designs. You might think the studs are just for decoration until you find they undo to let down a panel to show off what's underneath — in this case, our Pouch Shorts! In thick latex fastened with eyelet straps over the shoulders and a back buckle, this full-length style is priced at £179.95, while a calf-length version is also available at £169.95.
