UPDATED JULY 25: Sunday July 7 LAM marked the end of an era in London when the capital’s currently longest running fetish fair, aka London Alternative Market, hosted its last event at Revolution Bar, Leadenhall in the City of London, owing to the imminent closure of the venue.
The good news, however, is that, after seven years of monthly events at Revolution, this was most definitely not the end of LAM. The fair is moving to a new home from this August onwards.
The new venue for LAM, starting on Sunday August 4, will be Sway Bar in Holborn, located at 61-65 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5BZ (nearest Tube: Holborn). Timings will be as before, with the Market doors opening at noon and closing at 6pm, and the After Party starting at 7pm in the Cocktail Room Bar.
For full details, it’s currently best to check LAM’s Facebook Event page (link at bottom), as at time of this update, the LAM website is being flagged as infected.

Bound By Lust will exhibit its range of flightcases for toys, plus sensory play items such as this scary-looking implement to put in them
For the very last LAM at Revolution, the organisers understandably anticipate a substantial turnout of people wanting to say farewell to the multi-floor bar that proved such a popular venue for the market’s monthly gatherings for some seven years (bar pandemic lockdowns).
July 7 LAM was due take over all three (and a half) floors of Revolution (140-144 Leadenhall EC3v 4QT) with kinky shopping, workshops and socialising.
More than 30 exhibitors were signed up for Sunday 7’s event. In A-Z order, these are: Ada Zanditon, Affordable Leather, Bear Bite Bondage, Bound By Lust, Crystals N Couture, Dirty Sexy Words, Domn8z, Figure of A, Freebound Studio, Freja’s Field, Fubar Treasures, Fudge Builds, Funny Unicorn Studio, Godemiche, Hedonista Lingerie, Him & Her Erotic Steel, Jed Phoenix, Kinky Kraken, Kinky Moongazer, Kinkz Clothing, Leather Delights, Leni’s Atelier, Metal Mania, Mintt, Nes Noir, Ravenwerks, Seven Sin Latex, Spank Clothing, Spoilt Kitty, The Gay Glass Stall, 3nlisted.

The LAM crew will provide a tour, share advice on how to make the most of your day, and discuss the ways they keep you safe.

An ambivert within the scene, Miss Nightingale fluctuates between private play and events, and is emerging back into the London scene. She/they will be guiding you through surface and temporary piercing with info and tips about Health and Safety, Equipment, Set-up & Scene Setting, Skin Preparation, Surface Piercing, Removal and Disposal, and Aftercare.

for the last Revolution event, the retail market was set to run from 12 noon to 6pm, followed at 7pm by the LAM After Party downstairs at Revolution, with a rope room in the vault on the middle floor, a well-equipped dungeon on the lower floor, and play equipment positioned throughout the bar (if you like drawing a crowd!).
More details, including exhibitor profiles, can normally be found on the LAM website where you can also buy tickets for the Market only, After Party only, Market and After Party combined, or any of these three options combined with the addition of a carer. Tickets are normally also available directly from TicketTailor.com..
LAM’s organisers told us that for July 7, they were also in need of more volunteers to help load in the traders (arrival 8:15–8:45am); and to help load out at the end of the After Party (around 10:15 -11:15pm). They stressed that they only expected individuals to help with one or the other of these tasks, not both! Volunteers could expect free entry to the market, free tea and coffee all day, and a stipend as a contribution for their time. To offer your services, contact LAM at: [email protected].
