DRESS TO IMPRESS: LIBIDEX LATEX STYLE FOR WOMEN AND MEN

We don’t like to brag, but if you’re looking for a dress to impress, whether in the boudoir, at a party or anywhere else, the latex dresses on the Libidex website really should be your first port of call. For women, we currently have just shy of 200 dresses to choose from, all of which are available in a wide range of latex colours including main and second-colour/trim options. And of these, some 20 styles are currently in our official best sellers category, which means their prices are discounted by ten percent.

At Libidex, men’s dresses are also a thing — by which we mean feminine designs restyled to fit male proportions. Our selection in this category is rather more modest, with a current choice of four male dresses (including one best seller). This is partly because male dress fans often prefer to order from women’s collections, even if those garments have been created from patterns for women’s figures.

Libidex latex dresses for women (best sellers)

For the women’s dresses here, we’re focusing on a selection from our best-selling dress styles (all at ten percent off). And while black latex is a perennial favourite among rubber lovers, we’ve taken the opportunity to show what some of our best-sellers look like in other colours and colour combinations. It’s amazing how different the exact same dress can look when, instead of black, it’s made in a different single solid colour, or with contrast panel(s) in a second colour, or even with just a subtle trim added in a contrast colour.

And when you substitute translucent latex for solid colours, the vibe becomes different again. You can see this clearly in the two trans latex women’s dresses featured in our top image. Our Jasmine Bondage Dress (top, centre right) looks like something straight out of the punk look-book when made in dark solid colours. But it sends out a much more nuanced message when rendered in trans pink with bubblegum pink trim, as here. And our Adelphi Swing Dress (top, far right) looks cute enough in plain black but in trans lilac, it becomes both super-cute and super-summery.

Our second image (above) features four very different women’s styles in which you could surely dress to impress. We begin with the simplicity of timeless black, as used both for our mini-length Lucky Dress, with its classic cocktail styling (above, centre left), and for the equally figure-hugging, full-length luxury of our Tequila Evening Gown (above, far right).

Our Ebony Dress (above, far left) demonstrates how a contrast panel of translucent pink can demurely emphasise a plunging neckline (front and back), while its collared, buckle-front styling, gigot sleeves and flouncy hemline ensure the wearer can swish confidently into any room and be the centre of attention! Meanwhile our fourth style, the Dungaree Dress (above, centre right), goes for an out-and-out playful look with its two-tone styling and front pocket for “small esssentials”. Technically of course, this dress could be worn over a top of some kind — but where’s the fun in that?

More figure-hugging mini-length styles feature in our third image (above). Our Ramona Dress (above left) is a simple but effective variant on the little black dress featuring a contrasting colour for its front bow and trim to the neckline and sleeves. Incidentally, if you really want to dress to impress, you could carry this look through to a whole outfit, pairing the dress with our Rosetta Wrist Gauntlets and Rosetta Stockings featuring similar trim detail.

For more of a boy-meets-girl, high-neck look, our Tuxedo Dress (above right) features a contrast tuxedo-style front panel with faux buttons — a detail repeated in the cuffs that finish this garment’s long-sleeves. And while we could have shown you our vintage-inspired Galla Dress (above centre) in black, with belt and shoulder bows in a subtle contrast colour, we love how fresh and freewheeling it looks above in this combination of jade green and white.

Final women’s best sellers, left-right: Diamond Dress £170.96 (ex-£189.95); Lana Dress £215.96 (ex-£239.95; Rebelle Dress £310.46 (ex-£344.95); Scarlet Dress £206.96 (ex-£229.95). Our final selection of women’s latex dress best sellers begins with the Diamond Dress (above, far left) which takes the distinctive look of our Chinese-influenced Diamond Top and adds a short pencil skirt. Once again, a contrast colour adds subtle trim to the cutaway front and cap sleeves. Meanwhile, our Lana Dress (above, centre left) and Rebelle Dress (above, centre right) are both shown in regular black latex teamed with translucent smoky black latex.

Lana’s button-cuffed sleeves add a Victorian touch to an otherwise thoroughly modern mini, while the Rebelle Dress uses solid black for the skirt and trans smoky black, trimmed with black filigree latex lace, for the top and sleeves. To complete what is surely a ‘goth belle of the ball’ look, this dress is worn here with our Filigree Gloves and Curve-Line Corset.

Last but not least, our Scarlet Dress (above, far right) is often seen in red for obvious reasons. But we wanted to show you that our Scarlet style can be a dress to impress in a less obvious colour choice too — for example translucent natural latex, as worn here with our Classic G-String. Could be just the thing for anyone who sees herself as more of a Pale Riding Hood

Libidex latex dresses for men (with male fit)

So what latex dresses does Libidex offer for men? As previously mentioned, only a small selection are specifically designed to reflect male body shapes, and of those, just one is a best seller at ten percent off. And that one is the Male Princess Dress (above centre), a male-shaped version of our classic women’s Princess Dress. Simple, timeless styling combined with zip and sleeve options are probably what make it so popular,. And if you want to add some contrasting colour, consider our Male Tights in bubblegum pink latex, as shown here!

Flanking the Male Princess on either side (and also featured in this article’s top image) is the Missy Maid Outfit, the perfect solution for men who desire to be properly dressed when serving. Decorative features of the dress include striped front panel plus frilly trim to the puff sleeves and hem. The outfit includes the frilly apron shown above, but the Male Tights are an extra.

Our final offerings on the male dresses front are two styles with common design features but some important differences too. Shown (above centre) along with it s rear view (above right) is our Male Decadence Dress — a tight fitting, crotch-skimming design with open front styling at the chest to expose pecs and nips. The same garment is shown on the left in our page-header image, where you can see the full impact of teaming it with our Frontline Stockings and some nice heels.

Sharing the Male Decadence’s upper body styling but finished at the bottom with four suspenders (with clips suitable for latex stockings) is the burlesque-style Male Suspender Dress (above left). As with the Decadence, the Suspender Dress is shown here worn with our Frontline Stockings and classic G-String. To conclude, we’re confident that whatever kind of latex look floats your boat, you’ll find the right dress to impress in the Libidex range!
